About the Role

We’re a passionate indie team looking for a creative Environmental Artist who loves building worlds that players want to get lost in. You’ll help shape the visual identity of our game by crafting environments that feel alive, atmospheric, and meaningful to explore. If you enjoy wearing multiple hats, solving creative challenges, and collaborating closely with a small team, you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Do

  • Build stylised or realistic 3D environments, props, and set pieces for gameplay spaces

  • Turn concepts, sketches, or ideas into fully realised in-engine scenes

  • Assemble and light levels inside Unreal Engine

  • Optimise assets so they look great and run smoothly

  • Work closely with designers and programmers to ensure environments support gameplay

  • Help shape visual style, mood, and environmental storytelling

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in game development as an Environmental Artist

  • Must have shipped at least one game (indie or studio)

  • Strong working knowledge of:

    • Blender

    • Unreal Engine

    • Substance Painter

    • Adobe Creative Suite

  • Solid understanding of lighting, composition, and colour

  • Ability to balance artistic quality with performance constraints

Bonus Points

  • Experience working on small teams or indie productions

  • Familiarity with procedural tools or shader creation

  • Stylised art experience

  • Comfort giving and receiving creative feedback
